The American Legion is hosting a Movie Night open to the public tomorrow November 8th, with doors opening at 6:30 in Montijo Hall. Donations will be accepted for the Fisher House Foundation.

Tombstone at Twilight kicks off again November 22nd. The Cameo Ladies will be honoring Guy Ashley with the Order of the Garter, which is an event you won’t want to miss.

Wow, there’s only 7 Thursdays left until Christmas! That being said let me tell you all about the events ramping up for the Holiday Season. The Tombstone Chamber of Commerce is already collecting new unwrapped toys for our Toys for Tots drive. Donations can be made at the Chamber and at the Courthouse. There are still 4 donation boxes left! Come get yours before we run out.

The Cameo ladies will be kicking off the Holiday’s with a picnic in the park starting at noon on November 29th. Bring some lunch and come join the board walkers in a fun filled afternoon!

Tombstone Forward and the Cameo Ladies are also hosting the First Annual Tombstone Historic Homes Tour from 9:00am till 4:00pm on December 6th. Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance at the Crystal Palace Saloon, online and from the Cameo Ladies themselves, or for $12 at the door. Wow, the Cameo Ladies sure are busy!

We’re changing the tradition this year with the Christmas Tree Lighting. Stick around after the Historic Home Tour and be sure to be at 5th and Allen at 6:00pm on December 6th to join us in lighting the Christmas tree! The Chamber is collaborating with others to have a table for the Toys for Tots drive out during the lighting. How else would we get into the Christmas spirit without caroling? To go along with the caroling, the Chamber is encouraging Merchants to decorate. The winners will receive prizes to be announced.

Come join in the festivities at the Courthouse as we light the Luminaries on December 12th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Warm up your hands with some hot chocolate or coffee and fill your bellies with some cookies!

The event I know you all have been waiting for is almost here! The Light Parade is set to kick off on December 13th, at 7:00pm. Followed by fireworks around 8:00pm. The Edge Youth will be selling food and drinks at the Concession Stand during and after.

Don’t forget to join us for Santa in the Park December 20th around 5:30pm. Please help us make Christmas special and make sure all donated toys are turned in before then!

Wow, with all of these events this Holiday Season the crowd turnout is sure to be a success! Of course it can only be a success with everyone’s participation. Please let us know if you would like to help.
