On December 14th, Tombstone is going to be an eventful town. Three major events are happening this night. Starting at 5:00 we will start off the night with carols from the high school chorus and holiday music played by the high school band. Next is the Tree Lighting located on 5th and Allen Street. The parade will be marching along Allen from 6th to 3rd street at 7:00, but line up begins at 6:00 at the same corner in front of the City’s Public Works building. It is encouraged that not just businesses and groups participate, but individuals as well. Think a local Helldorado parade, but with lights and holiday cheer. The deadline for registration is December 6th. Now is the perfect time to go out and get your lights, with Halloween just around the corner. After the parade, it is time for the fireworks to light up the night at 8:00. This year we don’t only have ground works but aerial as well. Looks like something good came out of the stormy 4th of July. Come and be part of the fun for the night.
On December 21st, Santa is coming into town to set up shop at the park. He will be there from 6:00-9:00, and the fire department is looking for volunteers to help set-up Santa’s winter wonderland starting at noon.
