Day 4 & 5

On day 4 the dirt guys brought the backhoe and the dump truck. They worked on Thursday and Friday. Mr. Miller, the superindent, set up his desk in the shade of a mesquite tree since there is no place to set up a trailer. He took down the fence that had been up for 12 years after the original house burned. A man came by and asked if we knew there was a mine shaft where the backhoe was digging. He just wanted us to know in case the backhoe disappeared down the shaft.
